Falkirk will be the most fun place to be this October, as award winning comedian and actor Ardal O'Hanlon is unveiled as the first headliner of Falkirk's own comedy festival, Funny in Falkirk.
Funny in Falkirk is confirmed to return from 15th - 25th October and Ardal O'Hanlon will bring his
critically acclaimed stand-up to Falkirk Town Hall on Thursday 22nd October. Best known for his
starring roles in Father Ted and My Hero, Ardal has many other TV credits including Doctor Who and Live At The Apollo.
Sometimes thoughtful, sometimes silly, but always punchy, he has tickled audiences all
over the world (including extensive live work across the US, Canada, Australia, Far East and Europe).
The full programme for Funny in Falkirk will be unveiled on Thursday 3rd September, with many more
top comedy performers set to bring the laughs to Falkirk and the surrounding area.
Alex Fleming, manager of Falkirk Delivers said:
"With Funny in Falkirk returning for a 6th year we are thrilled to be able to welcome Ardal O’Hanlon to the festival. Those who loved him in the T.V classics Father Ted and My Hero will know there’s bound to be many laugh out loud moments in his stand-up comedy performance. As the full programme is rolled out I’m sure there will be a diverse and eclectic mix of shows offering something for everyone.”
Sarah Watson, director of Scottish Comedy Agency said:
"Ardal O'Hanlon is a personal favourite of mine, and I'm delighted he's coming to headline Funny in
Falkirk. There will be lots more shows announced on 3rd September and we're aiming to have
something for all tastes and prices range, making Falkirk the funniest place to be this October!"
