Travel Info

Situated almost half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and well-connected by road and public transport, Falkirk is very easy to get to.

 

By rail

There are regular services to Edinburgh and Glasgow, with journey times of approximately 25 minutes. To plan your trip, please visit the National Rail Enquiries website.

 

By bus

The bus service to and from Falkirk is managed by First Bus. Details of all routes and timetables can be found on the First Bus website.

 

By car

Falkirk is just over 30 minutes away by car from Glasgow and Edinburgh, and Stirling is approximately 20 minutes away.

 

Driving from Edinburgh: Take the M9 motorway (M9 / Forth Road Bridge / Stirling). Continue on the M9 for approximately 8 miles, then exit via junction 5 (Grangemouth / Falkirk).

Driving from Glasgow: Take the M8 motorway (Stirling / Carlisle / Edinburgh / M8). Exit the M8 via junction 13 (M80 / Stirling / Kincardine Bridge). Branch left at roundabout (Stirling). Continue onto the A80 then continue onto the M80. At M80 junction 5, keep in left hand lane then branch left onto the M876 (Kincardine Bridge / Falkirk / Grangemouth). Exit the motorway at junction 2 (Larbert).
